Hurricanes to end contract with Andrew h**e - Super Rugby news
Hurricanes have restricted Andrew h**e’s Super Rugby career with the derby until the conclusion of the current season. Hurricanes coach, Mark Hammett, announced today on June 8, that h**e would not play with the side in the next season. The Hurricanes coach
declared that decision has been taken for the betterment of the club and team management wanted to include a new prospect in the side in the next campaign of Super Rugby.
The Coach further revealed that All Blacks star, Ma’a Nonu, will play his last season with them. Both the stars are a formidable part of their national team, All Blacks, and it is a stunning decision by the Hurricanes. h**e has been playing for Hurricanes
since 2002 and has been excluded from the side with less than 100 days left in Rugby World Cup. He has played 92 matches for his team in his nine year Super Rugby career.
Andrew h**e has also played 48 tests for All Blacks and he is surprised by his sacking. He was not in good relations with Hurricanes coach Hammett during the ongoing Super Rugby season. Responding to the decision of the Hurricanes management he told the
media that news has come as a shock for him because he has spent a reasonable time with the derby.
He further said that, “I suppose it's an end of an era, I think I came up here in 2002 and I was lucky enough to be in the Hurricanes then. I've had a good trot so instead of looking at the what-ifs and stuff, I want to look at the last 104-odd games I've
played and all the mates I've made up here.”
h**e told the reporters that he wanted to play at least one more season with the Hurricanes but it will not be possible now. He added, "That's probably the one thing that got me a bit off guard really. I suppose that's the frustrating thing, I still personally
think I've got a little bit to offer but that might have to be somewhere else now."
The Hurricanes have taken the decision after their poor performance in the current Super Rugby championship. They could win only five games after 14 outgoings and are placed on overall ninth position on the tables.
