  1. if u fell on your ankle and it hurts that is normal.

when it starts "shooting.. to the knee" it may be trying to tell you that there is something you need to do differently to help it heal.

Get some x-rays and the doctor can tell you what you need to do. Please explain to your parents that it is getting worse and be specific so they understand that it has changed since yesterday and should be x-rayed as soon as possible

In the meantime, ice it    keep it up and stay off of it as much as possible.

PS walking on your toes would only make it worse.

  2. See a doctor?! Believe me, if you've done something to it, get it checked out, even if you think it's not serious.

  3. I think you should go to get an Xray ASAP. It might not be a broken bone, but it's risky to leave a broken bone unattended, especially in someone who's still growing!

Try to avoid any pressure on that foot for now.

Try to rest it, elevate it (put it up on the couch or on a coffee table, the higher the angle the better), and put ice on it. If you have a tensor bandage, you could wrap the foot, too.

You may have done a few things:

    - broken a bone (either completely or just a slight fracture or a chip)

    - sprained a ligament (the connective tissue that holds bones together)

    - strained a tendon (the connective tissue that hold muscles to bones)

There are tonnes of ligaments and tonnes of little muscles in your foot and ankle. It's a complicated part of your body and I think you should get it looked at.

Now that you mention pain in the knee as well, I would urge you to get tests done.  Knees are even more complicated and you want to be sure it's stable and healthy before using it.

Make sure you eat really well while you're healing - lots of protein and lots of fruit & veg!

    Good luck!
