Husband and I want to go to Connecticut...?

Question

for a fall foliage tour/ sightseeing and have no idea where to go there! He drives a shuttle during the tourist season where we live and just about everyone tells him Connecticut is the place to go. But where? Through who? Other things to do during the trip? We are aiming for Fall 2009. Thanks.

As a CT resident we just hop in our car and go, can be just as fun as a costly tour (unless you want the added company and all the planning just taken care of for you)

here is a link handy for getting reports on the conditions of the leaves: http://www.foliagenetwork.com/reports/no...  Click on any of the archived years to see when various places were peaking.  There are lots of such websites out there, i'd advise you to keep an eye on them before coming out.  But one can never predict exactly when the peak will occur, unfortunately.  

As for other things to do...there's quite a lot to do...just depends what you like.  I'd suggest you think of what you like, and see if they have it...they probably do.
