He got a ticket for the speeding, 1 for driving on the suspended license and 1 for a busted headlight. If he goes to pay the outstanding speeding ticket ( which is why his license was suspended in the first place ) in order to get his license reinstated ,what are his chances the judge will suspend his license AGAIN when he goes to court ??

Never had anything like this happen in the family so I'm not familiar with how that works?? Anyone had anything like this happen to them..???

  1. He won't be able to clear the suspension until all current violations are handled.  The suspension will be extended, and there is the possibility of jail time.  It wasn't mentioned but I'm surprised there wasn't a citation for no insurance.  I'm sure the Judge will bring it up.

  2. Yes, his suspension will be extended or if you get a self paid lawyer they might drop the suspended license ticket but because the officer was giving your husband a brake by not taking him to jail when they could have my guess is they will drop the busted headlight and speeding ticket but will still have the suspended.

  3. A driving while suspended license conviction is a 12 point violation here (8 is needed to suspended a license), so your husband's license will automatically be suspended again if he pleads guilty or is found guilty.

Speak to an attorney, they will probably be able to get the charge reduced to a equipment violation. It will cost more, but your husband gets to keep his license.
