Question:

Husband stock piles dirty diapers?

My husband will gladly change a dirty diaper for me. Problem is, he stock piles them in the baby's room under the changing table until I ask him to take them out! Any moms out there able to relate? :)

I guess I am just grateful he changes them though, lol.

  1. That's men for ya lol, my partner hasn't changed 1 nappy for our bub yet and he is a month old but it's because he is nervous around him because he is soooo tiny (born 5lbs 2oz) which is understandable, payback comes when he hit's 6 months old and isn't so small anymorethe he will owe me 6 months worth of nappy changes LOL!!

  2. in his first couple of weeks we used to just put them in a bag because they didn't really smell and just take the bag out each day (or two if forgotten) which i still do during the night but he doesn't p**p during the night usually so that doesn't matter but yeah my man still does that no matter what time of day and when confronted he goes "what do you want me to carry him out put him down and then go take the nappy and put it in the bin?"   Its not that hard we have our council bins tied up to the windows so you just have to lean out the window, pull the rope and throw the nappy down! i've even suggested that i tie one up to the babies window before he was born but DH said "its just as easy using the other ones" easier said than done apparently

  3. Get a "Diaper Genie 2"...I love mine...it doesn't stink like the older version, so I can keep it by her crib for night time changes.  My hubby will actually use it!

    Good  luck!

  4. WE LOVE our diaper genie II. It's easy to use, and holds quite a few diapers without stinking the house up. My husband will even take it out when it gets full (he's a doll). But you can just put it next to the changing table and he can put them in there instead of on teh table. Good luck.

  5. That's my mom's complaint about the kitchen garbage.  Unless she takes it out, it never gets done.

Gotta tell you a story though. I know a guy who made a chute through the window.  He had some kind of manual open and close thing he could operate from inside.  He would just toss the diaper through the chute, so no smell inside.

  6. Yes, me too.  Must be a man thing.  I am grateful DH changes the diapers though, there are a lot of men who still won't these days (my brother is one of those!).

  7. ahhh, same here. smelly smelly =)
