  1. I would suggest for your husband to go to a serious acupressurist and have a treatment done against headaches/migraines. (some acupressurists don't like this because they may lose a patient and his revenue, so be discreet)

    This takes normally 20 minutes, with immediate results when done properly. You could just sit next to him, see how it is done, ask questions and take notes on how to proceed and do it later yourself whenever the problem occurs. There is absolutely no risk as long as you don't touch the spine and start the massage or pressure directly onto the aching spot. Work your way gradually towards it. When applying pressure, do it firmly and keep it for +- 10 sec. then release the pressure  very, very slowly (count to3). There is also the acupressure point right between your eyes, at the top of your nose.

    I am a acupressurist in training and i am treating - very succesfully - family and friends who are generally very sceptical people.  This treatment unblocks also automatically the sinuses - some people just start to cry and have a very runny nose-. This already proves that it decongests and relaxes the pressure in the head.

    If you want to do your bit right away, you can start with a soft massage and gradually increase the pressure over a period of 20 minutes.  Put your hands on top of his head as if you are circling the tonsure of a monk's head. Massage as long as you want or until your husband feels his headache has gone. Start the massage there and gradually extend it to any direction you want to on the head going towards the neck & shoulder area. The stress settles generally in the shoulder area, at the level of your 7th vertaebra.

    Anyway, the point is the alleviate the pressure in the head. NEVER touch the spine.

    Headaches/migraines happen because your bloodvessels "spasm" that means they dilate and contract continually. This can be due to

    dehydration :

    drink lots of water, fresh fruit juice;

    avoid alcohol, coffee, tea.

    stress :

    try to learn some relaxing techniques e.g. deep breathing, meditation, yoga, Qi Gong;

    eye problem (occular migraine, squinting, 1 eye muscle weaker than the other, etc...) : see an ophtalmologist not an optician;

    lack of fresh air :

    take a walk during lunch time and at night;

    try to regularly air out office and home;

    food allergy :

    ask your better half to write down - NO CHEATING - what he has been eating during the day + his dinner e.g. during a 1 month period and let him cut out one specific food or food group at a time during a month or longer - I don't know how long it takes to put your body back to "neutral", to cleansen it. That way he can figure out on which specific days he has a headache and which type of food he has ingested and find out what food may be the culprit (MSG, carbs, certain fruit, nuts, chocolat, alcolhol, aspartam or any other edulcorant, coffee/tea, all kinds of fizzy drinks, etc...)

    cigarettes

    certain medication against headache give headache and dependency too.

    Hope this helps and that you'll get quick results.

    I have suffered from heavy migraines for years until i discovered acupressure and know which foods to avoid e.g. MSG, too much chocolat, champagne.

  2. do a little research on headaches and magnesium... you might very well find a connection.

  3. he may just need to make a few lifestyle changes. try the link below

    http://www.beatinghypertension.com/natur...

  4. He might be allergic to something, have him tested for food allergies or outdoor allergies. Or he could have bad sinuses.

  5. does he get them when you want s*x???

  6. zomig thru the nostrils is the only thing that helps my migraines...your dr gets tons and tons of SAMPLES . do NOT be afraid to ask because they cost about 300.00 !!  but let me tell you...it WORKS!!!

    i had tried Immitrex, Migrazone, even morphine which i had to go to the hospital every time...zomig is the ONLY thing that worked.  the only side effect , it makes your nose run slighty at first.

  7. I have heard that this product works.  No, it is not my website.  I am just trying to help.

  8. There are studies that link high blood pressure with a pinching of the major arteries that run through the back of the skull. Tension in that area can cause severe headaches. That sounds like what is happening to me. I would highly recommend cranial sacral therapy. I use cranial sacral therapy on my dad, and it lowers his blood pressure and has been helping with his headaches. For a therapist in your area try upledger.com I hope it helps and good luck!

  9. Locked in stress, old injuries, muscle imbalances or a nasty combination of all three like I have would explain it.

    Read and apply http://www.helium.com/tm/148271 to find out what the problem is and maybe fix it.

  10. Well i dont know about the blood pressure but i get headaches/migraines almost daily.

    Get some alfalfa and fish oil pills,  next time he feels one coming on take one of each and an aleve, excedrin, whatever he prefers.

    Changing blood flow helps sometimes,  sit backwards on the couch w/ head on the floor and feet in the air for about 10 min.

    Cold compress,  pinching and holding the nerve between the thumb and index finger of hand opposite side of headache for about 5 min,  cold shower, etc.

    Does he smoke?  Take in alot of caffeine or sugar?  Those can be triggers.

  11. as you say it's happening alot latley is he under pressure or stress as this can cause headaches

    does your husbaand drink enough water & eat regular meals as this can also bring headaches on

  12. Have you investigated food allergies?  Recent studies are showing that there is a correlation with  food allergies and hypertenstion.  Headaches are easily the result of overreacting to food allergies or intolerances.  I would clean up the diet and get all food additive c**p out, do a complete food allergy test or just spot check the specific foods that he loves or eats a ton of.

    I would be highly suspective of this if he has been cleared of all other possible etiologies.

    You can search her site for high blood pressure and headaches too, she might have other recommendations, but this would be my first instinct.

  13. High blood pressure can be a symptom / side affect of long standing dehydration ...... When you are getting dehydrated your body goes into preservation mode and hangs onto the little bit of water it does have, hence you may display other symptoms such as puffy bags under your eyes actually puffiness anywhere in the body is actually a sign of dehydration.

    If you are dehydrated, your blood becomes thicker and your body has to work much too hard to cause it to circulate .......... Expecting your digestive system to digest food and transport essential vitamins and nutrients with no water in your system is an extremely huge ask ............ Water is imperative to life. Without water your body will have a terrible time breathing, digesting food, transporting nutrients, lubricating your joint sockets etc.etc.etc.etc......... nothing substitutes for water. your body needs at least 2 - 3 litres of water daily to function efficiently Geez, we need at least 2 litres daily just to maintain aspiration (to breathe)!! so drink up buddy ♥

    Increase your intake of fresh filtered water 20 minutes before or after meals so as to enhance digestion rather than interfere with it ............... if you drink fluids during your meals it will only serve to dilute your digestive juices and hinder digestion ♥

    also, try to cut back on drinks such as coffee, tea, alcohol, sodas and soft drinks (if you drink any of them) which will all do great job of dehydrating you. ie: just 1 can of soda or soft drink will make your body peesh out up to 12 cups of water !!! 1 cup of coffee will make your body peesh out about 2 cups of water ........... read the book by F. Batmanghelidj, M.D.... "Your body's many cries for water"...... an astounding and scary and very true read.

    Other symptoms of dehydration are puffy bags under your eyes, dark circles under your eyes, constant yawning, headaches and migraines and constipation and bloating and cramping and foggy thinking..... :0)
