Husbands 40th bar-b-q bash?

Question

I am planning my husband 40th birthday bbq bash for August 2009 we will have a smaller practice one this year. Hopefully the weather in England will be good, has anyone got any ideas for food, entertainment, games, anything at all we have about an acre of land.

horseshoes, volleyball, badminton,

Games: I've always liked Who's Scene It and Triviual Pursuit.

Food: Make something festive.See what Paula Dean is cooking these days. I absolutely love her shows. Good luck and have fun!

Entertainment:

bocce ball they make a yard game on which you can play on grass. Horseshoes. 3 legged races, wheel barrow races. Get a tractor and pull kids around (if there are kids there) get balloons and have a water balloon tag game. See if a small band can come or have a friend play music.

Food:

Ribs, grilled pork chops, bbq glazed chicken, corn on the cob roasted with rosemary and butter sauce, molasses and honey baked beans with bacon, biscuits with butter, grilled pizzas. Make your own pizza stations and have them grilled on your bbq.
