Husky Fridge in need of defrosting?

Hi,

I have a husky fridge which is a small fridge unit very similar to the one in this link (http://www.dealclick.co.uk/product/12150765/HUSKY-HUSHDA134-1-8-BUD.php)

I have noticed it has not been keeping items as cool any more and I checked the thermostat nob and it is on full power. When I checked inside the fridge at the back there is a small tray which sits along the bottom and seems like it may collect water. This is totally iced up and the ice is so thick, I cannot move it. Could this be causing the problem with temperature? Should I switch it off and allow the ice to melt and then switch it back on when its all gone?

The fridge sounds like its out of coolant or it has a leak, most of the time when they ice up like that it means something is broken, you should also keep a thermometer in your fridge to make sure your food is kept below the "danger zone" so you dont get sick
