My first language is not English. When I read books concerning phenomenology in English, Husserl’s “Lebenwelt†(in German) is translated into, for example :
(1) the life world (Sokolowski, R., 2000)
(2)the lifeworld (Van Manen. M., 1997)
(3)the life-world (Moustakas, C., 1994 and Husserl’s book translate by Carr, D., 1970 )
Many experts cited the original German as “Lebenwelt†but they translated it into different English wordings. Are these three terms viewed the same by those readers’/scholars’ whose first languages are English? any arguement for this?
