Hussey most likely recover before the ICC World Cup Quarter-Finals
There are conflicting reports about Mike Hussey’s availability for the World-Cup. The Australian Cricket Board has already announced the name of the Veteran in the 15-man squad for the Word-cup and his absence could cost them dearly in the mega event.
Earlier during the second match of the ODI series, currently going on between Australia and England, Hussey while taking a quick run injured his hamstring. At the time it looked like a minor injury but X-rays and scans revealed later that he had his hamstring
torn; the lower tendon was ripped from the knee. The extent of the injury was that the player needed surgery. The surgeons have done their best to mend the injured star batsman for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 but he needs time for recovery. He has been ruled out for the rest
of the ongoing ODI series.
According to some reports, a leading surgeon revealed that with the extent of the damage done to his tendon, Hussey is most likely to take at least three months to get back on the field.
Other sources revealed that his doctors have given him a green signal to resume light-training in a matter of 10 days, but his match-fitness is still going to be under the radar and it is being said that it will take at least four to six weeks for him to
start playing.

The World Cup is starting from the 19th of February and the Aussies will be backing themselves to get through to the quarter finals without Hussey. The quarter-finals will commence from the 23rd of March and Hussey has almost two months
to prove his fitness to the medical staff and get clearance to play from the board.
The selectors have already shown their utmost faith in him by announcing his name in the squad hours before he was to undergo the surgery.
Hussey is a very important component of the Australian Cricket team and has won many matches for his team. He was the highest scorer for Australia in the Ashes series when all the other batsman failed to perform. In his 151 match long career, the left-hander
has so far scored 4469 runs in ODIs, at an average of 51.96 and it would not be wrong to say that he is the backbone of the Aussie batting line-up.
