The Schalke manager fears losing the duo at the end of the season as the club are unwilling to meet the players' wage demands.
Huub Stevens has admitted that Schalke will find it difficult to retain Raul Gonzalez and Jefferson Farfan beyond this season. He fears that the duo will leave against the club’s desire which would be a huge blow for Die Knappen.
The manager stated the club are short on funds and therefore the players' wage demands are difficult to meet.
Raul and Farfan were destined to leave the club during this year’s January transfer window but were eventually convinced to stay by the Schalke bosses. However, it is now believed that Raul will part ways with the club in favour

The Spaniard’s contract will expire at the end of this season and it is highly unlikely that he will extend his deal at the Veltins-Arena. Raul’s striker partner, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Klaas-Jan-Huntelaar-c21175, had previously wished to continue playing alongside
the former Real Madrid attacker but it looks unlikely that the duo will play together next season.

Huntelaar upfront.
While talking to sports publication, Sport Bild, the tactician further added:
"I am making plans with them [Raul and Farfan] only until the summer. I do not have any hopes about them. If clubs with some financial power come for them, we will have very few chances [of keeping them]."
On the other hand, Farfan’s deal is also set to expire by the end of this season and the Peruvian international is likely to follow in the footsteps of his teammate. The winger has had few injury problems this season and as a result
has only managed 10 league appearances, netting two goals during the process.
