The Schalke manager has expressed his satisfaction over the team’s performances thus far this season and wants the players to continue impressing
Die Knappen have started the season on an impressive note and are currently third on the Bundesliga standings table behind the likes of Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt. The team has collected 14 points from the seven games played so far and are on course to land a UEFA Champions League place at the end of the campaign.
Huub Stevens claimed that his side has performed very well since the start of the campaign and is confident that the team will progress to the later stages of the Champions League also. The manager admitted that there have been a few disappointments when Schalke have been unable to finish off the games they should have, but overall it has been a good display.

“I'm satisfied with the points total and also with the way we've played for the most part. I'm obviously not happy with the games we should have killed off but didn't, but these things always happen over the course of a season and it happens to other teams as well,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, the Schalke boss added that he is also looking forward to the crunch clash against Borussia Dortmund when the league resumes later this week. The two teams will meet at the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday, October 20.
“I haven't given it any thought at all. My thoughts are with the players who are away with their national teams. Obviously I'm hoping they'll all see some action but I'm also hoping they'll come back to us without any injuries,” he concluded.
