The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Blues' manager has stated that his side has won nothing yet and is that the results should continue to come as the season unfolds.
Die Knappen have had a sensational season thus far and the side’s displays have been in complete contrast to those from the previous campaign. They are currently level on points with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund at the top
of the table, just lagging behind on goal difference in third place.
Stevens claimed that the club’s position on the standings table truly justifies the performances and the hard work but has issued a warning to his side against complacency. He admitted that there is still a crucial six months to
play in the league and any team out of the top four can lift the league crown at the end of the campaign.
“The table never lies, but it is only momentary - we have not won anything yet by a long shot. Anybody is capable of beating anybody and if we want to win, then we are going to have to put all of our quality into the game,” he
was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven boss added that the next fixture will be a tough one as FC Koln are very strong at home. However, he remained confident of a win against his former side to keep up the challenge for the title. Stale Solbakken’s
side has lost only three of the nine fixtures played in front of the home fans.
“Cologne are very strong, particularly at home, and it is not going to be easy to get anything from there. I had a good time there. But now my priority is to win with Schalke in Cologne because we want to improve our position in
the Bundesliga,” he concluded.
Schalke face FC Koln at the RheinEnergieStadion on Saturday, January 28, in search of their 13th win of the ongoing campaign. The Royal Blues will definitely have one eye on the fixture of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern
Munich as they look to maintain their dominance at the top of the standings table.
