The Schalke manager admitted that his side’s match against the Bavarians will be a tough one and is hopeful of a good result at Allianz Arena.
The Munich giants will host Die Knappen in their next Bundesliga clash as both sides will be in search of all three points to remain on the heels of Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach for the title. The home side won the reverse fixture in September last year at the Veltins-Arena as Nils Petersen and Thomas Muller scored a goal each.
Stevens insisted that it will certainly not be an easy match for them as Bayern are very strong at home. He admitted that the Munich giants have been out of touch recently but they still have the best squad in the Bundesliga currently.
The manager insisted that Bayern have some world-class players in their ranks who have the capability of changing the game on its head. The tactician is wary of the threat the opposition can be and warned his side to be on their toes for the whole game.
“It won’t be easy for us. As always it’s about getting the three points. Bayern have the best squad in the Bundesliga. Bayern create opportunities in every game and they have quality players in every position,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.

Stevens added that his side may be a bit tired after playing 120 minutes against Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Europa League but are well prepared for the match against the Bavarians.
“It is easier to recover from a tie lasting over 120 minutes when you win and experience success,” he concluded.
Schalke are currently placed fourth on the Bundesliga table with 44 points from the 22 games played and a win would see them leapfrog Bayern Munich.
