walk in cooler r22 gas,,, had a leak comming from the pressure control switch next to the flair fitting to the compressor - question is ---- does the compressor NEED a pressure switch to run the system ??

could this be bypassed ?

the valve where it connects to was capped for now i was told...

would it effect the system if the wiring was taken off the switch an allowed to run ??

  1. Controls are much easier to repair/replace than a compressor. Eliminating safety controls will end up costing you more.

  2. You need to have a low pressure cut out switch so when or if the freon gets below 20 PSI then the compressor won't be overheated. Their is also A high pressure cutout switch located on the system to prevent blowout. These low pressure cutout switch's leak and can be easily replaced by a qualified tech.
