to incrs ur vocab u can read dictionary,encyclopedia,novels....

bt to hav a beter command in eng. one shud b awre of d basic rules of eng. grammer..so u can opt fr various grammer buks..like..'wren n martin' ..its one of d best buk arnd!!

Read the dictionary for proper spelling, read the encyclopedia for infos, read novels for proper grammars. Works for me =)

Reading how to books is fine but it'll confuse you if you don't have the basic english pat down esp. for the rules of grammars and etc.
