Digital Audio Broadcasting is supposed to become the savior of the radio business. There are a lot of people in the biz who don't think it's going to happen.

First, you have to buy a new radio that will receive the broadcasts. Then, you tune to the main station and then go to the DAB sub-stations. This breaks the first rule of marketing: "Make it Easy."

But the powers that be left it to the engineers to design and they either didn't ask any marketing people or disregarded the advice.

Digital Audio Broadcasting. VHF analogue FM is still gonna be around for a long time yet though. Unlike UHF analogue TV.
