depends on your profesion, but the best way is to register with employment agencies.  Once you have lived there for 3 years consecutively you can apply for landed immigrant.  I cant remember if NZ is part of the commonwealth, if it is it will be easier.  But best bet go onto the net, and look for employment agencies that deal with your profession.  It is cheaper to live in Nothern Ireland than the Republic, and you also make pounds in Northern where as the Republic is Euros.  I say this as a Canadian that lived and worked out in the UK for 3.5 years.  Good luck.
