Hwo do i make a dvd?

I have the latest verison on nero....superb quality avi files...and when i burn them onto DVD using the proper method.....they go all pixely and jump and just end up being c**p....could it be the discs i use? I think they maybe cheap ones but why would that make a difference?

It is possible you have bad DVDs.

Try slowing down the burn speed and see if that corrects the problem.

Try another brand of DVD especially if you are using Memorex. I have had lousy luck with Memorex.

If your burner will use +R media use that. My personal experience has led me towards using the +R. It is slightly better at error handling so more tolerant of dirty or damaged media and also more tolerant to the subtle differences between players.
