Hybrid animals & plants?

Question

For a science project, I need to find one hybrid animal and one hybrid plant....does anyone know of any? If so, give one and the history behind it, such as why a human decided to breed these two types of animals/plants together...thanks

Some great examples of hybrids can be found in mass production factories farms. GMO Corn and soy beans are great examples of hybrids. As for animals, I'm unsure.

Why a human decided?...I geuss it all comes from the "concept" or perception that nature is of man's ownership....maybe it comes from religious mentionings in the Bible of how we are said to be keepers of the earth. It may have influence someone to think that they had responsability or even ownership of creation. Who really knows? I think the whole book is miss-understood.
