with hybrid cars not making much noise. And everyone is a bad driver (except for me). Will we see more hybrids hitting and killing blind people.

Because the blind listen for car noises.

And drivers never look out for pedestrians.

  1. hybrids them selves are not worth it i remember in the 80's a buddy o mine had a Honda and it got 52 mpg and my car got 11mpg with a 440 in my 1968 coronet r/t 4 speed. Plus those cars have no balls and are slow plus some don't get good crash ratings ex

    Toyota Prius

  2. Electric scooters in london are fitted with sythesised engine noises. You shouldn't worry the blind people on Answers who might be reading this.

  3. I hope not, because I think that noise is one of the most annoying thing about cars and I am glad it is going away.

  4. Thats what blind people have dogs for so, they can take one for the team , or get smart fast.

  5. Good point, at most intersections here there is either a tone that tells the blind when to cross or they are sure to indicate their intention to cross before entering a crossing, or both.  If a blind person is jaywalking they probably do have a better chance of getting hit by ANY type of car, not just a hybrid.

  6. No.  Hybrids are quiet, but not silent.

  7. Loud pipes save lives. When will they ever get it? They are making everything quiet and it sucks

  8. I'm more worried about the kids who already don't pay attention. I don't think it would be that unlikely for a one of those little brats to run out in the road after not hearing anything.

  9. Well you wont have to worry about me I'll never buy no hi-bid rubberband car and my Scooter pipes will cause the blind to see again.
