Hydrocele testis operation?

me and my boyfriend have been trying for a baby for 6 months now and im still not pregnant.Im worried that there is something wrong.He told me that when he was younger he had a hydrocele operation.Could this be the reason we cant concieve? Could this operation made him infertile? ( im 24 and he is 22 )

  1. No. I had the same operation and had three kids after.


  2. It's unlikely the operation cause a fertility problem. The operation consists of draining the fluid, not correcting the problem. It's too hard to go into his tubes and clear the blockage so the fluid is drained. However, normally it's a problem with only one t******e. So even if there was a problem with one t******e the other is normally working fine.

  3. A hydrocele testis (accumulation of fluids around a t******e) might not necessarily cause infertility, but the surgery to correct it may have caused issues, but I think this is rare. Your BF should speak to his Dr a simple test can determine

  5. A hydrocele is a pocket of watery liquid that builds around a t******e. If the liquid can't drain an operation is performed to drain the water. Not sure if his past surgery caused infertility. Check with a Doctor.
