Question:

Hydroelectric Energy?

My company is considering investing in a hydroelectric plant. We are very new to this industry and would like to talk with someone that could help us. We'd like to know the details of who we could sell our electricity to (if it is the national grid how does the bidding process work) and what would the rates be like. We'd like to understand how much revenue we could expect from a certain amount of capacity that our potential plant would be able to produce. Any ideas, experts, or owners of plants that could help?

  1. It is possible to sell back into the grid.  As far as rates etc.  I can not tell you. That would depend on where you build your plant.

    This would be region specific.

  2. http://www.homepower.com/article/?file=H...

    may help.

  3. Hydro electric energy is created by means of hydro resources , such as dams & water reservoirs, by turnig the hydro turbines & ancillary equipment. this is large scale projects, approval need from Govt. Many countries has promating this as Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects.

Techanical consultants of hydropower of your region can help you for all technical & financial clarification.
