  1. The deal you linked is a total scam.  Generating hydrogen onboard the car?  Look at the details, it connects to the "carb".  That's short for carburetor, which was replaced by fuel injection 15 years ago.  They don't even know what they're talking about.

    Just the latest version.  Making the hydrogen will cost more energy than you get back.

    Hydrogen is a way to have nuclear, solar, or wind electric power plants run cars by making hydrogen.  It's not "free energy".

  6. Making internal combustion engines run on hydrogen is fact - not too difficult not too expensive and definitely worth it.  On board hydrogen generators use more energy than the alternator puts out so fiction.

    1.Hydrogen can be stored indefinitely in steel canisters.

    2.Hydrogen storage tanks like compressed natural gas (CNG)tanks have been crash tested, burned in 1500 deg fires, shot repeatedly with a 357....they are safe...certified by DOT

    3.Oil industry makes hydrogen to increase the octane and burn characteristics of their product for about $0.30 a gallon of gas equivalent, they produce 1/3 of what we Americans need annually.

    4.Sunshine and waste materials are a much lower cost approach to producing hydrogen and much more sustainable

    I have a mower and a generator and a camp stove that run on hydrogen - which I converted from gasoline use on the small engines and from propane on the burner.   The desire to do this was my own and a great deal of technical input came from the American Hydrogen Association.  Thank you AHA!!

  7. Yes, internal combustion engines can be converted to run on hydrogen.

    The Hydrogen Car Company will convert your car or you can buy a car that has already been converted by them.

    They are at 5700 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, California.

  8. the biggest problem with hydrogen fuels is storage. hydrogen in its normal state at room temperature is a gaseous one. gasoline on the other hand is a liquid at room temperature. when a gasoline powered car is involved in an accident where the tank ruptures, the gasoline tends to burn when ignited, giving people time to escape. hydrogen on the other hand will also burn when ignited, but instead of burning over a fair period of time, it burns all at once. also between the two gasoline is harder to ignite than hydrogen, and far easier to store.

  9. Yes a car can be made to burn hydrogen.  Yes you can produce and store that hydrogen relatively safely.

    However, you will be arrested for doing so as anyone who produces/consumes or stores such products must have a special license to do and must have their facilities inspected by a gov't licensed inspector on a regular basis.

    And since no facility that does make this is allowed to sell to a consumer who doesn't, where can you legally get the fuel to run your H-powered car?  Just another set of involuted plans to trap the unwary.  If the gov't cannot tax it, then you cannot have it...  If others can't make money off you to provide this, then you can't make it either...

  10. Fact, but there are a few things you need to know about hydrogen vehicles. First, which is in most people's mind is how to make them affordable to the average person. Second, is how to make the highly explosive fuel tank safe. Next, will we actually use hydrogen or still use petrol.

  11. Here's the problem with it.  This assumes that you use energy from the car to power the hydrogen generator.  But, according to the laws of physics, this can't work.  It's a perpetual motion machine, which is absolutely impossible.

  12. Only problem is that Hydrogen is not a fuel, just a way to store energy for other sources.
