  1. 2 problems. First, no infrastructure. Where are ya gonna buy the stuff? Second, H2 is currently obtained from cracking natural gas, a fossil fuel.

Kinda defeats the purpose, doesn't it?

Oh, and third, storage. Who wants those high pressure vessels that close to your family?

  2. Hydrogen is a poor choice.  Too explosive and leaks too much.  Look at the problems NASA has with fuel leaks on the Shuttle.

Hydrogen will still be sourced from oil, so there will be more profits for big oil.

  3. A hydrogen economy wont work for two reasons.  First is how to store the hydrogen.  You need a big pressure bottle like you use in welding.  That means a big (and expensive) compressor.  That is how welding supply people do it.   Second, how do you produce it?  The cheapest way is to crack oil.  If you use electricity, that will cost more than any gain from using hydrogen.  If you have free electricity, you might as well use electric motors.  For running a car, you would do better to use moonshine!  Hydrogen is clean, but then so is moonshine!!!.   And would cheaper.

  4. 1. Only if strong strong security and economic measures are taken.

    2. If govt. cooperates, preferably in the next 27-30 years.

    3. Only if produced on mass-scale.

    4. Of course, if the energy used to produce hydrogen is renewable.

  5. NOOOOOOOOO! hydrogen is explosive and look at what happened to the Hindenburg Balloon

so really what you are trying to do is blow up the planet

ask all of the ?s you need to know about hydrogen because i did a project on it for 5th grade

  6. Hydrogen is not more explosive, they want you to think that.

And you people keep feeding the hysteria, STOP IT.

In fact it is less dangerous than gasoline, because when gas lights up it's on the ground.

When hydrogen lights up, it floats away.

    Think about it.

If there is a hydrogen leak it will float making it HARDER to ignite.

Now we all know about the Hindenburg, Despite the violent fire, most of the crew and passengers survived. Of the 36 passengers and 61 crew, 13 passengers and 22 crew died.

How ever most deaths were not caused by the fire but were from jumping from the burning airship!

It took 30-38 seconds to burn up.

YOU can survive that, anyone could.

God I'm so sick of people giving hydrogen a bad rap!

Gasoline is by far a more volatile fuel in EVERY WAY!

You know propane is worse and you people don't even give it a second thought!

Think about it the next time you have a BBQ.

Sorry didn't answer your question: Yes it will work, if they let it.

But not very cost effective, but they could be lying about that too.

  7. Hydrogen sucks.  It costs more power to make than you get out of it and its energy density is low.

  8. 1) No

    2) Never

    3) Of course not

    4) Hydrogen is colorless
