  1. If u use a hydrogen generator so that a very small amount of hydrogen so if it explodes in a accident it will not be very bad. Example if u had 10 gal of liquid hydrogen it could destroy a hold block.

It is not as clean as u might think. The high temperature of burning hydrogen will also cause NO2 or photo chemical smog.

  2. I believe they refer to it as a clean fuel because when it is used in their prototype engines the only emissions is H2O

  3. Yes, hydrogen only produces water when burned and hence produces no pollutants. However, pure hydrogen doesn't readily exist and has to be made, and that takes energy. The electricity to first split the water into it's component parts has to come from somewhere. So if every car was powered by Hydrogen we'd still be burning fossil fuels, or nuclear, somewhere down the line. That said, the method of using power station electricity to produce hydrogen and indirectly power, say, cars is vastly more efficient than burning gasoline. Cleaner yes but you never get something for nothing.

  4. What is there to comment? Hydrogen reacts with Oxygen, two molecules of Hydrogen to one molecule of Oxygen. The product of this reaction is water vapor. Therefore the only product coming out of the exhaust pipe/chimney would be water vapor.

How can you have it any cleaner?

  5. The primary byproduct of burning hydrogen gas is clean water vapor, although the heat of combustion also can create small amount of NOx pollutants I hear.  The manufacture of hydrogen can get dirty if the gas is stripped off methane or coal but I believe those are solids which can be easily dealt with.
