Hydrogen or Solar Energy; which is most profitable frontier?

Question

When it comes down to it, which would have a better market and wider consumer base. I was thinking along the lines of Hydrogen fuel-cell refueling station or solar panel installation business. There are strides being taken in hydrogen automobiles and also in solar technology and cost. So which is a better idea? Thanks for your help.

can we drill for oil untill the greeny`s can make up there mind which way to go but i would say solar is our best future

Solar.  

After hydrogen vehicles get introduced there are going to be many home burned to the ground from people messing around with hydrogen generators.  They will become very heavily regulated quickly.

definitely hydrogen!!! Especially right now. There is alot of money to be made converting cars from Petro to Hydrogen/Hybrid. Petrocheap.com explains it all.

While hydrogen has its appeal, the amount of energy you can get from it compared to what it takes to get it and the amount of storage space it requires makes it, in my view, something that needs more work before it will will truly viable. In addition, in some areas of the world water is in short supply. If you mean financially profitable, then solar I would think would be the way to go. As far as profitable to humanity, then I think they both have their place. You may want to do a search in the Internet using the term "sustainable development" coupled with "Baha'i Faith," or just "Bahai." I cannot think of a single concept that has had a positive impact on humanity today that was not Baha'i to begin with. I know that is a pretty audacious statement, but I believe I can easily back it up.

The Baha'i Faith has attracted peoples from every religious background and from atheistic backgrounds as well and is the world's second-most wide-spread religion. You might want to find some like-minded Baha'is to work with you.

Solar Panel installation for the regular Joe.  

Hydrogen fuel is decades away.  They have not figured out a proper containment strategy, plus the cost to create it is still quite high, but will lower. Besides, there will only be money for those who produce it, just like oil.  If you look at the average income for a Gas Station owner, it is pretty dismal.  And I don't think Hydrogen stations would be much different.
