I'm having slight trouble finishing off this equation:

H₂S Pb(NO₃)₂ ---> PbS ........

Is this one of the 6 (I think) reaction types?

Any assistance is appreciated.

  1. H2S + Pb(NO3)2 → PbS + 2HNO3

    By the way, how do you get the subscript? I can't get it.

  2. No problem...H2S + Pb(NO3)2 -----   2 HNO3 + PbS (s)

    it is a precipitation reaction in that PbS is a black insoluble compound Ksp ~ 10^-28
