Africa’s Chad Le Clos pocketed gold medal in the Men’s 200m Individual Medley meet. The sixth round of the seven-stop was held in China, from November 8-9.
Initially, Hye Ra Choi of Korea thrashed out her rivals including Anna Martina Granstroem of Sweden and Olympic gold medallist, Jessicah Schipper of Australia by tapping the finishing wall in an impressive mark of 2 minutes and 03.65 seconds. Meanwhile,
Granstroem settled for silver title in a spot of 2 minutes and 05.02 seconds and Schipper finished with bronze medal in a time of 2 minutes and 05.89 seconds.
Zige Liu of China gave her best attempt in the respective race and pocked fourth spot in a mark of 2 minutes and 06.77 seconds, while Lan Liu of China was settled at fifth position in a blot of 2 minutes and 06.92 seconds.
Sinan Ha of China and Miyu Otsuka of Japan were not also behind throughout the respective race and settled at sixth and seventh places in a time of 2 minutes and 08.11 seconds and 2 minutes and 09.23 seconds, respectively. Finally, Yilin Zhou of China earned
eighth spot in a time of 2 minutes and 11.07 seconds.
The Men’s 200m Individual Medley crown was sealed by South Africa’s Chad Le Clos in an amazing mark of 1 minute and 55.04 seconds, while Markus Rogan of Austria settled for silver title in a respected time of 1 minute and 56.33 seconds. Weijia Liu of China
earned bronze medal by clicking the finishing blockade in a winning time of 1 minute and 56.61 seconds.
Yuma Kosaka of Japan earned fourth spot in a time of 1 minute and 57.27 seconds, whereas, Travis Peter Nederpelt of Australia claimed fifth position by touching the finishing barrier in a time of 1 minute and 57.77 seconds. Tokyo is scheduled to host the
final round of the seven-stop series from November 12-13.
