I am 5ft female looking to buy a starter bike, I have searched all over the place for the ninja 250R 2008 but they are completly sold out in Georgia so that is when i fell upon the Hyosung GT250R, i found a dealership that has about 5 left and I was thinking about picking one up but i have heard mixed reviews on the GT250R. If the ninja 250 was available I would purchase it in a heartbeat but the dealers out here wont have them till early 09 to long for me to wait

  1. In performance they are pretty well matched. I have ridden one and have never seen any of the negative things being reported out there.   I have had dealings with them and the part about fit and finish is not right. I watched that video and it leans heavily to Kawasaki right from the start. I have seen maybe 25 of them and never saw any flaws like they claim. And they do run, they use to make motors for Suzuki.

  2. reviews:

Watch this video, it compares the 2 bikes. wait for the sponsor clip to finish after 15seconds and it'll play. Good honest review.

    Hope that helps!

  4. definetley the ninja

  5. The major complaints against the GT250R seem to be centered on a general low level of fit and finish - poor paint, rusty fasteners, spotty chrome, stickers coming off. The general design and performance of the bike seems to be quite good though. Go down to the dealership, and take a good hard look at one - if the quality seems OK to you, go for it.
