I don't like disrespecting anyone but I don't like people being brainwashed by the media, there no doubt that David Haye is probably the best at cruiserweight at the moment but also you have to remember that David Haye is originally a Heavyweight

Just because David Haye weight about 14 stone and 4 pound (on the weigh scale at cruiserweight limit) that doesn't mean David Haye has the power of a cruiserweight

By the time Haye step in the ring, 1 day after the weighting, haye has (atleast) put 10 pound on

Since david haye originally weight 16-17 stones, Haye is alway carrying heavyweight power, even when he fighting at cruiserweight limit

When david haye is draining his weight from 16 to 14 stone in just a few of months, no power is as lost as long as David Haye is weight training, but losing weight increase speed and probably more power in most cases.

Only power will be lost if Haye weigh 14 stone for too long but after the fight Haye jump back to 16 stone within weeks.

  1. I don't see the point to your post.  ALL fighters at ALL weight classes put on some weight between the weigh-in and the fight.  Shoot. . . Gatti practically INVENTED the idea!  Didn't he put on like 18 pounds in his Gamache fight?

I heard plenty of hype around Audley Harrison, and that's sad, since he's proven time and again that wet toilet tissue has more staying power than he does.  As for Danny Williams, beating Tyson these days has as much street cred as robbing a daycare with a machine gun.  It's just not as impressive as it used to be.  He'll never be seated at the table with Buster Douglas or Evander Holyfield, who really BEAT him when he was in some sort of shape.

David Haye can fight at whatever fight he wants.  He wants to fight at heavy, and he probably will.  And the way Enzo fell like a rock the other night, I'll bet he makes quite a splash.  Look out Hasim Rahman, John Ruiz, and Jameel McCline. . . you guys who used to be the "main guards" in the division.  Haye is gonna use that "Haye-maker" to send you into retirement!!!

  2. when haye fought mormeck, they said he was weighing like 215lb in the ring, but 1 day befor, he only weight 200 on the weigh scale, since  haye  is a naturally alot heavier than 200lb  he can put that much on

  3. david haye has fought a few heavyweight but thomaz bonin was the highest ranked that haye has fought as the WBC ranked thomaz bonin no12 beside this ole maskaev at a old age was the WBC world champion at that current time and Oliver mcall has ko a prime oleg maskaev in 1 round.

  4. only time will tell how good he will become.

  5. I don't think it's fair to compare Haye to Audrey and fatman Williams, yes he does have a suspect chin and isn't the perfect fighter but i rate him and i think his decision to fight at Cruiserwright before moving back up to Heavyweight will stand him in good stead. His mobility will be able to make up for his lack of constant power at the top level and the Heavyweight division isn't exactly bulging with talent at this moment in time. Best of luck to him.

  6. I agree totally!!

  7. You make a good point, and sometimes it's not fun to rain on people's parades, but we all could use a reality check.  There's no doubt in my mind that Haye has ability, but where the hype sets in is in people's inability to see that he's incomplete in terms of all-around skill.  I could see him beating a Klitchzko, but not with the skill set he currently has.

  8. Im not sure if your facts are 100% correct regarding him putting on 10 pound in a day, but im sure he does put a bit of weight on after the weigh in most fighters do. I disagree that he has been overly hyped by the media though. Out of the fighters you have mentioned only Audley Harrison has been overly hyped. Prior to beating Mormeck Haye was an unknown to the average non boxing fan and the same goes for Williams untill he beat Tyson.
