Hyper expected to win Wolferton Handicap
Hyper is all set to add sixth straight success to his career chart by winning the Wolferton Handicap (Listed Race), a high-voltage Class 1 contest that will be held at Ascot racecourse today, June 22. The contest will commence at 4:25 (GMT).
During his 12-race career, the Chad C. Brown-trained bay horse has stepped out of the podium for just two times. This is indeed a remarkable achievement.
The five-year-old veteran sprinter has seven classic conquests to his name. From December 15, 2011 to May 18, 2012, the maverick sprinter marvellously won five races in a row---outstanding indeed.
This excellent success streak has perked up the horse’s confidence level to a great extent. Moreover, he poses to be the most potential candidate on the card of the Handicap.
However, the brilliant son of Victory Gallop out of Raw Nerve is going to run under a new jockey J. Murtagh. This thing can go against him. Most of the times in his career, the skilled horse has raced under J. Lezcano.
Trying a new jockey at this juncture can prove to be greatly dangerous for Hyper. However, the horse’s capabilities and the form produced by his fabulous success splash will defiantly help him dominate his competitors in the coming contest.
In the Wolferton Handicap, Hyper will have to face 15 rivals including Retrieve, French Navy, Beachfire, Kings Gambit, Mijhaar, Con Artist, Ottoman Empire, Danadana, Qaraaba, Kirthill, Black Spirit, Junoob, Gatewood, Sirvino and Opera Gal.
On the good to soft track of 1 mile and 2 furlongs, Hyper will pursue the prize cheque worth £31,191.
The horse’s march towards the finish line will not be smooth as Danadana will give him enough tough time on the track.
The Luca Cumani-trained bay colt is on the verge of his maiden hat-trick. The four-year-old talented sprinter elegantly accomplished a classic conquest each on May 18 and June 4, 2012. As a whole, he has won 3 of his total 8 starts so far.
Qaraaba and Gatewood are too likely to perform well today. So let us enjoy the charged action at Ascot. Good luck to all the contestants who are set to sizzle.
