  1. Don't worry too much. I had hyperthyroidism too. Your doctor will know the severity, from the blood test readings and will probably put you on carbimazole (trade name Thyrozol) for 18 months or so. It's nothing. Just pop a pill or two a day. In the meantime you need to go for blood tests every few months or so. If your doctor gives you PTU (which I doubt), ask for carbimazole. PTU is bitter as h**l. Please don't worry. Hyperthyroidism is not a death sentence.

If you have hypotension, you should be careful getting up from a sitting or lying position as you can have blackouts. Take care.

  2. in the case of thyroid diseases we have good drugs which control thyroid malfunctions so do not worry about this disease, for hyperthyroidism we recommanded metimazole or propylthiouracil.Graves disease is a kind of hyperthyroidism which is more common in females than males,I think you have this disease.

  3. weight loss is what she'll recommend

  4. No your hyperthyroid can not be CURED, but TREATED! this is the reason for you missed periods you hormones are way outta wack if one things isn't working right a lot of other things can not work right either.

  5. Don't worry so much.  Both Hyperthyroidism and Hypothyroidism are both very treatable.  It could also explain your other medical concerns.
