Hypocratic Oath related question.?

I know all Doctors have to take the Hypocratic Oath of "First do no harm" but how do Praticioners of human Euthanasia (like Dr. Jack Kevorkian) / Abortionists (like George Tiller "the baby Killer") get around the "First do no harm" oath?

I do not intend this question to be an opening to debate the abortion /euthanasia issues, because I know it is a passionate issue. Personally I am passionately pro-life, but I will accept answers from all viewpoints as long as they are on topic.

Stay on the topic of the Hypocratic Oath and Abortionsts / Praticioners of human Euthanasia , do not debate or preach on the merits of Roe V, Wade one way or the other...

  1. Slightly off the subject, but the government has been discussing the fact that, for most people, nearly 95% of the money they spend on health care throughout their lifetimes is spent during the last year of their lives.

They want to consider that issue, because it may make a BIG difference in how they manage the costs of their proposed National Health Care System.

That will be a big political football. Do we want to go down that road?

Is neglect a Hypocratic Oath issue?

  2. Doctors today are MOSTLY ambitious moneygrubbers who routinely violate professional ethics, in my opinion.

They've turned the Hippocratic Oath into a Hypocritic Oath, and they have contempt for this pledge, just as the average married couple today has for their marriage vows.

  3. Primum non nocere

It is how they define "harm".

They define harm as unwanted people being alive to pollute the earth with their unworthy life, so "harm" to them is the baby or the old sick person being alive.  It is a matter of personal beliefs, that is all.

They genuinely believe that they are on a crusade for the True Way.  It is just a different religion, called Scientific Rationalism.  To them, you are backward and evil for wanting to stop them.
