Hypocrites on drinking?

Question

now when it comes to drinking...how come parents ***** about a 17,18,19 year old drinking at a party....i hear it all the time...thing is when my parents where my age...THEY DID THE SAME THING!!!!! and so did 100's of other parents...im not saying its right....but teenagers do things to do things...rebellion is inbeded in teens minds....rebellion is apart of growin' up....i dont promote it but so what if i've gotten drunk at partys....i finished high school with a 3.6 grade point average...not the best but good right? i start college this year...i know its normal for them to worry but thats being kinda a hypocrite to me?...i figure if a 18year old can go to war....he should be able to drink....i rather drink then fight some war that dont make sense like iraq...and the many others in the future....opinions please

its illegal though...they dont want you in jail or driving drunk....wait till youre older.. or drink at home..
