And would meet with you at the same place to collect it, and he says that he will reward you with one thousand if you accept , would you go straight to the airport right after receiving the money and perhaps fly straight to the Bahamas or perhaps Tasmania ?

I know that asking you for your honesty in answering the question is a risk that I have to take .

Thanks so much .

  1. No I wouldn't fly away. I would come back and give it him back.

Where am I going to earn a $1,000 for staying awake all night. I would, as I could not sleep with that much cash in the room!

The money is probably from ill gotten gains or they are trying to hide it from the tax man. In these instances they could have someone find you to recover that much. Besides it would suspicious to customs. They would figure it to be drug money and in any case a quick bribe to one of them would reveal where you had gone.

I have been often told that I am too straight for my own good. But I will get my reward - if not in this life, then in the next!

  2. nope i don't trust people enough to believe that they didn't steal it and i don't "hold" for anyone.

  3. I'd run like h**l!

People get killed for a heck of a lot less than 10 Mil. and

if this guy is trying to dodge that, I'm not stepping in the way

    for a measly one grand.

  4. I'm already in Tasmania...so bit pointless to fly from Tassie to Tassie!

I wouldn't look after the money because it sounds criminal. I'd be too scared of getting caught and getting into trouble, not just with the law but with the criminals! One thousand isn't anywhere near enough to risk my life!

  5. Your question seems as perplexing and as  confused as you seem to find yourself this morn.

I strive to study that I may apply my knowledge and skills to generate wealth in those fields I am proficient in. I descend from a clan rich in Lordship and renowned for there assisting the needy and helpless.

My fate alas is entirely in the hands of he whom God has cast my soul at the feet of. No I would not entertain such an offer, although my monetary and faith reserves are indeed at an all time low.

  6. I would tell them that I wouldn't watch it because

    * I don't knoew where the money came from

    * And for what reson the guy want ME to watch it

I want to be on the safe side

  7. please report the scams so these thieves will stop spamming our mailboxes.

  8. I agree with all other answerers. I would keep the money and hide.

  9. I will not accept to look after the money in the first place.

    honestly

  10. You're Nigerian, right?

  11. I would not take on the responsibility of looking after ten million dollars, if something went wrong & I lost the money, I could not cover it.

I also don't need ten million dollars, it could be different & fun, but life can be that without the cash. Personally I don't take what is not mine so spending every dollar would cost me & I would never enjoy it.

  12. No!  I would not want it!  Every person I have known who has won a large sum of money, from the lottery or the casinos, has had more bad luck.  They were worse off financially than they were before winning the bucks.  Their personal life went to he-- in a handbasket as well.

People can have all the money, the free vacations and all the "stuff"!

No thank you very much!  I am just fine with what I have!

I would not even want a dime from him either!

  13. no

  14. No. It would be hard, but I would force myself not to spend it. And that's the honest truth!

  15. Were I to accept the money I would absolutely return it the next day.

    BUT

Anyone who asks a complete stranger to hold 10 million is most likely involved in some nasty criminal enterprise - probably with some equally nasty people trying to kill them for the money. So I certainly would NOT accept the funds in the first place.

  16. Do I get to ask where he/she got this money???  LOL

But seriously I wouldn't try to take the money for two reasons.....

    it's not mine

if they caught me they would kill me...LOL

  17. Well first I would need to make sure the money was not acquired through illegal means. If it was that is a deal break right there.

If it was not then I would sit there in my living room drinking a hot cup of tea and staring at all of that money and going through thoughts such as "10 million dollars, I could buy, such and such" and I would let my imagination run wild. I would probably smell the money and try to hold 10 million dollars in my hand (hey don't know if it would ever happen again! lol).

But, I would be there the next day and receive the thousand dollars and give him his 10 million dollars. I might pout a little as I walked away but I would be holding my head up high. It is just not in my character to be dishonest. I have values in my life and though 10 million sounds great about right now--- even 10 million is not worth it to me to tromp on my values as if they never existed.

  18. I would think hes trying to use me like bait. Then someone would def. kill me. No thank u...

  19. Imagine how demanding the exigency, if one requires a complete stranger to look after 10 million dollars. In other words, there must be a prodigious reason or circumstance presented for one with $10M to entrust his money to a complete stranger. That said, I would require a premium to bear the potentiality of such an exigency (its potential to present adversity to me).

If the circumstance at hand--which creates the NEED for the millionaire to confide his moneys in me--involved life or death, I would require 50%.

An example: He needs to hide his $10M because a drug lord would liquidate him if he discovers the $10M in his possession. Thus, he requires my aid in hiding the money in order to save his own life. I, therefore, am charging him a 50% premium (which he will pay if he is rational) to maintain SOME wealth AND preserve his life. In short, If I were to involve myself with this danger, I would need at least 50%; it may present adversity and risk to me. (This is not to say I WOULD involve myself with this danger. It is only a hypothetical assessment of risk-reward).

If the reason was one of superfluous greed, I would require 3-7%.

An example: His wife was divorcing him and he lacked a prenup. Therefore, in order to deny her 50%, he wants to make it seem as though he donated his money to a foreign patron. In this case, I would take a small fee and he would still benefit from the excess moneys, notwithstanding my fee.

Under no circumstance would I accept $1000 for the potential burden that his exigency presents. In fact, if it was life or death or superfluous greed and he insisted on $1000, I would not even bear his money; his desperation would lead him back to me at a more reasonable price.

If anyone accepts the $1000 reward, not only are they irrational, but their faculties of cognizance have receded to a crude state of inescapable stupidity. This stupidity would be veiled by some romantic notion of "honesty" and "dignity," to the detriment of the honest and dignified, and to the benefit of the avaricious and ruthless. To say the least, it is a blurred idealism that inhibits the intellect, and therefore, integrity. And many a time, a man, whose faculties have so eroded at the hand of blurred, ponderous idealism, will neglect reality in the name of romanticism, and bury himself under its weight only to become history's fool.

In short, to take the $1000.00 is to admit the inability to draw the line between reason and stupidity.

  20. Yes I would honestly give it all back. I wouldn't be able to live with myself.

  21. Something very similar happened to me yesterday...I'd love to tell you about it but the waiter is trying to tell me something and I can't find my English/Tahitian dictionary.

  22. OH NO! There is no way I could even consider taking money that is not mine.   I live my life on the straight and narrow.  I know if I do the slightest thing wrong... I will be in BIG Trouble!  So, I don't even think in my wildest imagination that I could come up with a scenario where I could get away with it and be rich!

I have lived my life only being honest, and I know doing the right thing will be rewarded when the time is right.

    Thanks for reading!

  23. if he had 10 million I would ask fro more than $1,000

and i think that would be reasonable for you to hold $10,000,000 and not spend a penny

and i might be to scared to hold the money if the guy looked sketchy and stuff about it
