I think that there are mostly independents, then Democrats, and then Republicans in number in that order. With your hypothetical, I would assume that the country would be more conservative.

I wouldn't like it if I became liberal.

I would side with the Republicans/Libertarians.

I am not a social conservative. I am a fiscal conservative with populism and libertarian streak. I am Pro-Choice. I think we need a strong national defense but we need to pinch pennies. I don't think conservatism is perfect. I am pro-worker. I think the American Dream is going down the toilet. This country is not affordable.
