  1. I often get a kick out of that.

They say "you need to believe that Jesus Christ is your savior"......we do.

"you need to read the Bible"......we do that as well.

"you need to pray that Jesus saves you".....we do that all the time.

I can't really see what they have to offer us that we don't already have.

  2. I agree, Christians ask dumb questions. I think that's why there's not a unity of faith. Their latest question is if we are christian or not. They still don't even think we believe in Christ.

  3. Hypothetically......we would be giving up the gift of the Holy Ghost to be our constant companion, we would be giving up the power of the priesthood of God in our lives, with its incumbent ability to literally use the laying on of hands to give priesthood blessings, we would be giving up the ministering of angels, we would be giving up having a conduit to latter day revelation directly from God, we would be giving up the gifts of the spirit, we would be giving up the oldest women's organization in the word (Relief Society), we would be giving up the same organization the Christ set up his church with when he was upon the earth, we would be giving up the blessings that come from temple work and temple ordinances, we would be giving up the sealing power of the temple where bonds are sealed on earth as they are in heaven, we would be giving up being led by a prophet, the same thing that the Bible teaches us, we would be giving up latter-day scripture from God,  and on and on.

In other words, why would any LDS give up so much, when we have been so blessed of God?

    I for one, would not.

  4. If I decided the church wasn't true, I'd become an atheist.  Because I know none of the other Christian sects are right, I watch them be to hypocritical and contradict themselves to ever become one of them.  I'm not saying that doesn't happen among the LDS, but it's not as mainstream, accepted and not in the church leadership (apostles and prophet).  And I don't know enough about any non-Christian faiths to know if I'd be interested in them or not.

But I know the church IS true, so I don't have to worry about making this decision, do I?

  5. I would not be Christian. I was raised Methodist and I joined the LDS church cause I believe it to be the closest to the truth. If the LDS church is not the truth, then Christianity is not the truth.

  6. Face it...they just want to destroy our faith without having anything better to fill the void with.

    M

  7. I remember people telling me they thought Mormonism was weird when I was growing up.  Then as I got older I saw a catholic crucifix with a bloody corpse on it, snake handlers, and most recently... good old Lord Xenu.

... and people think LDS is weird?  LOL

  8. Anything but...just dont join another major religion for a while.

    And follow the Bible ONLY.

  9. You should believe whatever you want.  Most former mormons have no agenda to convert you to yet another religion.  Never-mormon Christians all seem to think you should subscribe to their particular flavor instead.

  10. We could believe that Mary was a virgin forever...or that she wasn't.

We could believe that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one being....or we could believe they're 1 being in 3 forms.

You know....pretty much anything depending on which church we join....

  11. I don't think I could go back to Christian-Lite.  I would follow the Hopis and wait for the return of the white brother, Pahana.
