  1. I think it won't be a Geelong player. They will all steal votes off eachother. Ablett, Bartel, Ling, Scarlett, Johnson, Egan, Mooney, Ottens and Corey will share votes.

I think Chad Cornes is a hot tip, because he stood out brilliantly at the start of the season. Kane Cornes is a chance too, but I think Chad will steal votes off him.

I'd also put Carrazzo and Sam Mitchell in the running as well.

  2. i absolutely agree with rko whilst geelong has the two or three best players they are an unlikely chance as they will be grabbing votes from each other. personally i think freos pavlich may have been a chance if supported by the dockers but for the moment would have to say kane cornes or shannon grant

  3. i really think gary ablett jnr will win, no one has even come close, you can rule out judd and cousins and all those previous winners, actually lance franklin has a good chance hes pretty good but if i were to pick someone who deserved the brownlow i would say nick dal santo, hes a hard worker, a fantastic midfielder and a great person to have on your team, but hey thats just my opinion, what the heck might as well thorow good old G TRAIN fraser gehrig in there too

  4. the outsider would be chad cornes, but gary ablett jr for me.

    go CATS go

  5. No no - Gary Ablett JR will win!

    go cats!

  6. Forky - good Q again - you're on a roll!

Personally I'm looking for someone other than Jimmy Bartel or Gary Ablett to back with my hard earned.  As a Cat supporter I think these guys are probably deserving winners but ... they're gonna take votes off one another.

I'm looking at mid-rating team, say Hawthorn or Kangas or even lower, like Essendon.  Someone who is the one stand-out in a reasonable number of wins (you need either 7X3 or 10 X2 to really be in the running.

Can Ablett and Bartel get 14 x 3 or 20 x 2 between them??  And then there's Ling, Corey & Corey, Hunt, Scarlett and Ablett the lesser all stealing votes from them.  Nope - no cat can win this year.  Go looking at Jonathan Brown for example, engine room for Essendon ... or Crawford???  Freo or even a Burgoyne.

  7. I already put my $2 on nick malceski at 400/1. He is always one of our best so must be picking up votes regularly and must have won 3 on a few occasions. For the reasons cited above me I would say Hervey from Kangas - he seems to stand out alot and is consistently good and is a very fair player. Bartell missed I think 2 games so might have hurt him a bit. Ablett always a chance but not at that price thanks.

  8. I think Daniel Kerr could be a dark horse even though he has been injured he played fantastic at the beginning of the year but I doubt very much if it would be three years in a row for the Eagles.

  9. The run and carry players who break open games are the ones who seem to poll well in the Brownlow, with Gary Ablett Jr being a prime example. However, as others have mentioned, he will have Bartel and many others taking votes off him which could cost him the win. Therefore I would go with someone like Brent Harvey of the Kangaroos who should poll well as he is a dynamic player in a team which has few stars who have really dominated this year (it has been a great team effort by the Kangas this year). My Brownlow trifecta will be B. Harvey, G. Ablett and C. Cornes with J. Bartel and possibly J. Brown rounding out the top 5.

Note: Kerr will poll well as usual but is ineligible!

  10. Some people have said that a player in a top club cannot win it cos the players steal votes off each other. Not quite right. Judd and Cousins won it in a great Eagles team and Voss, Black and Acker won it in the great Lions team. Saying that, I reckon Sam Mitchell from Hawthorn. Never discount a blonde from winning.  haha

  11. gary ablett jnr dahhh he played a good season he deserves it

  12. As much as I HATE to say this, I think one of the Cornes brothers might just get there.

Of the two I think Cane should get it but I have a feeling that Chad may just beat him!!

  13. Chad Cornes

  14. Chad Cornes

Shane Crawford for a roughie, he`s had a consistent season.
