  1. I HAD  a hysterectomy over 30 yrs ago when they cut my abdomen and it took me at least 8 wks to recover,  My mother on the other hand had the vaginal hyst.  Her recovery was much quicker than mine.  She was up and about in 4 wks.  Everybody heals at a different rate.  No 2 people are the same.  If you're doing everything the doctor advised you to do, then you should have no problems.  Take vitamin C because it is a great vitamine in the aid of healing.  Hope you feel better soon.

  2. A lot depends on your age!

I would give it up to 3 months to be back to normal.

    No s*x for 6 weeks.

I found this for you-it is excellent!

  3. the pain should start to ease stitches will be fully healed by week 4 on average no  strenuous exercise till 6 weeks, perhaps a check up at the Dr and then slowly take up a moderate exercise level. The leaflets you got for post op care from the hospital will maybe contain more info if you refer to them again.

Vaginal ones are seemingly  less recovery time than a  more radical ones through stomach wound, so they say expect to feel better after ,say, 4-6 weeks.

get well soon to you ,and any other woman whose reading, whose recently had it done.

  4. On average 6-8 weeks.

Doctors always advise you to take 6 weeks off work.

  5. 6 weeks I've heard.

  6. 6 to 8 weeks is the normal recovery time.

  7. I've heard somewhere between 4-6 weeks.  So no strenuous activity until week 6.
