Question:

Hyundai Sonata Audio Question...?

I have two 6.5 inch Dual speakers that i bought for my old car and never used. I was wondering how to add these speakers to my current stock system in my 2006 Hyundai Sonata, i don't want to splice them into my back door speakers b/c that would drain some of the power. I want to put them on the back dash so i would need to run the wires all the way to the front (which i can do) so my question is how do i connect my new speakers to the stock head unit without taking power from my other 4 door speakers?

Thanks!

  1. You can't. You would have to add an amp. Your stereo is made to run only 4 speakers. If you don't want to add an amp, disconnect your rear door speakers. You will get better sound from speakers in the rear deck than speakers in the rear door.
