I’ve only got one year of management experience, can I apply for a management job? ?

I was notified of a job on bestjobzip.com that’s right up my alley, but they want two years of management experience, and I only have a little under one. The job pays about the same, but it has much better hours. Should I even bother?

Are you worried that they’ll tell your current employer and possibly get you fired? Be sure to include that your current boss doesn’t know you’re looking and that the new place cannot contact them. I don’t think there’s a company on the planet that doesn’t understand that risk, and will happily go along with your request for discretion.
