  1. If this is your first bike I would get a 4 stroke maybe a crf230 would be good.

  2. well what kind of riding are you doing.  if you want to do trail riding a 250 4 stroke if your experenced enough or a 450 and if you want to race and still do some trail riding you could get a 250 2 stroke im 16 and i have a RM 250 2 stroke and i ride trails but i like  2 strokes better but its up to you, you should test some bikes and choose for yourself.

    good luck

  3. if you ride street bikes get a 450f or a 250 2 stroke. you could handle both if you've been on big street bikes. have fun

  4. Just edit your question and add your height, weight and what type of riding you will do...motocross, desert, woods, etc. There are many different types of dirt bikes out there for many different purposes.

  5. It really comes down to what your going to do with the bike, and your ht. wt. ect...

If you have experience on street bikes, dirt bikes will not be much of a change. Therefore you should be fine with starting on a big bike. These days your best bet is to ride a four-stroke, they are clean powerful and much more economical. Each company has a trail, and motocross version of a bike. For example I have a Suzuki RM-Z 250 (Motocross), but there is a Suzuki DR-Z 125 (trail). Or a Honda CRF-250r (Motocross), CRF-230f (trail).

If it is trail indeed you are looking to ride I recommend a enduro bike because it has a street legal set-up so you can drive on and off roads. Something like a Honda CRF-250x would be perfect.

  6. Good answer Danny. Better then some others. A 250 2 stroke would be a nice bike. Any of the j*p bikes are good.

  7. If you weigh between 120-160 get a CR125

If you weigh 170 or above get a CR250

  8. You need to add more information.  If you are not intending upon racing the bike then you may be better off posting the question in the motorcycle section instead of racing.

If you do want to race it then add how big you are  as it is impossible to state what bike you should have otherwise.
