  1. Why don't you try to adopt a baby or a child? But in my opinion 42 is way too old for a first child you will be 62 when the child is 20

  2. If you smoked for a long time, there could be complications.

  3. you are brave having a child at your age. the risk of birth defects is much higher. you would need to go thru the various tests. stop smoking wether you are pregnant or not. goodluck.

in my opinion 42 is too old. especially for a first child

  4. Bad.

    Good luck.

  5. depends on your health condition.

smoking is something worth quitting with the baby or without.

my aunt had a healthy baby boy at 47.

  6. There are a few more risks, but its safer today than ever before.

  7. Sounds like my mother right b/f my surprise baby brother. She was about 41 and she had just given up smoking not too long before. Well for the most part it was a healthy pregnancy aside from her "gestational diabetes", he was healthy, there were only complications during and after delivery, he was the biggest baby in ICU and by the grace of God he survived and is a healthy 6'3" tall at 14.5!!!

Her and my brother are only one case...there are risks involved (birth defects---physical, developmental, and mental---things that folic acid wouldn't do much good for since majority of your eggs are not of the best quality---we shell out the good ones first). You should stop smoking and consult your doctor about TTC before going any further.
