I feel comfortable saying that burton makes the best all mountain decks.  I would say  the burton custom is probaly the BEST all mountain deck in production,   I have a burton custom 2003 and beat the p**s out of it daily, with jibs and booterz. .. Its a beast and has definetly played a key part in improving my riding and helping me progress in the sport.

But im not going to limit you to just burton as,  many other companies have quality products for all mountain riding Here are a couple other companies that are good and a coouple websites to purchase the mad STEEZY stuff

The board should come between your chin and your nose. (A shorter board is easier to control.) I used to work at a sporting good store and am a snowboarder.

The floor to the chin rule doesent work for all people, if you are of average build it will be reasonably close. But its better to pick you board length not only down to height but more importantly your weight and also the style of riding you do. I,ll give you an example to why the floor to the chin method doesent work, take two people both are 5ft 5 but one is 100lbs and the other is 200lbs, would they really suit the same board?. It just goes to show from the two answers above just because someone works in a snowboard shop or is a snowboard instructer doesent nessesarily mean they know what there on about. Ok for an All mountain board you need around a 149. Im guessing you are a female rider if so some good begineer All mountain boards that would suit you are
