  1. The question is not althogether understandable.  What do you ean by non profit credit help.  If you aquire a credit card and have never had one you ARE going to pay interest on your purchases.  IF you do not pay on time YOU d**n sure will get phone calls and letters.  So the best way is to maintain  good credit by paying when due or b 4.  Hope that helps

  2. As for the non-profit Credit help......I don't think they are your best choice unless you have already contacted your creditors and ask for help.  I had some problems with credit cards after my son was in an atv accident and sustained a brain injury and was in the hosipital for about 2 1/2 months.  I didn't work and had to use credit card to pay all my bills.  (food, gas, elec. bill etc...)  I got behind on everything and the interest rates shot up to triple what they were when I fist obtained them.  Finally after trying to avoid the creditors all together I called them and told them of my situation and they ALL agreed to put me under (what some call) a HARDSHIP PROGRAM.   What this done was lowered my interest rates down to 4.5% and and set a monthly payment up that I could afford.  The one thing I had to agree to was not using the cards anymore, (I could re-apply once all is paid for) and to allow them to pull the payment from my bank account each month until the bill was paid.  I do have to call them each year and set it up again but it doesn't take 5 minutes to do that.  The first intial call does take a little while maybe like 30 minutes because they talk to you about your bills and you do have to qualify to be put on this program.  The qualifications are really nothing at all.  They ask about all your bills (payout on each per month) and then ask about your income.  They give you a choice of payment plans and then your set.  TRUST ME......THIS IS MUCH BETTER THAN ALLOWING THE CREDIT HELP COMPANIES TO SNAG YOU FOR ANYWHERE FROM 250.00-2500.00 DOLLARS AND ALL THEY ARE DOING IS NEGOTATING YOUR BILL THE SAME AS I EXPLAINED ABOVE!!!!!!  You can do this your credit card companies will help you through the whole program because all they want is their money.  Believe it or not they aren't even rude with you and DON'T  treat you like you have the plague or something!!!!  GOOD LUCK AND DON'T GIVE UP!  YOUR NOT THE ONLY PERSON IN THE WORLD TO HAVE PROBLEMS PAYING YOUR BILLS AND YOU SURELY WILL NOT BE THE LAST!!!!!

  3. Contact your local Red Cross for a referral to the local Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS) in your area.

If it something else, you are going to have to ask in a much clearer way.
