I'am totaly lost . please help?

I just became a member of yahoo answers and i'm not sure how this works .I mean why do we have points and levels ,and is it true we get money for this questions. please help me understand.

There is no money involved.  Points are worth bragging rights, and an increased ability to get more points.  I would happily trade 10,000 points for a decent milkshake.  If you have something interesting and useful to ask or to answer, this is the place to do it; someone may find your advice useful.

No you do not get money. It's a venue for people to ask and answer any questions they might have. You get 2 pts for answering and 10 pts for best answer. If you ask a question, you lose 5 pts so it's better to answer than ask. The more points you have, the higher your level goes.
