  1. try this website you can find poms by place, age, gender, and keywords.   www.petfinder.com         there are animals at shelters and rescues. Best Wishes

  2. How about Pomeranian Rescue?

    They needs home, badly...

  3. like most everyone says www.petfinder.com save a poms life

  4. CR pomeranians has some beautiful dogs.  They also have a great referral to other breeders and promote rescue dogs also.

    crpomeranians.homestead.com

    Good luck

  5. Please try a rescue. Im sure there are plenty in washington. Breeders are good also all but one of my dogs is from breeders but i rescued a german shorthaired pointer for my dad and my mom rescues a doxie manchesterbterrier mix from the humane society and then my rottie that i have my moms boyfriend rescued h from the side of the road his mommy was hit by a car and killed and my rott was the only one him and some other good semaritians could catch. My rott was about 12 to 18 weeks old when my moms bf gave him to me for christmas and hes almost 3 years old now, and honestly all 3 rescue dogs are better then the ones i have from the breeders. They know that they have a second chance in life and will apprecaite life more. My purebreds are all hunting dogs and the rescues seem to cherish life more then my others. I love them all more then anything in the world ( my hubby and i have no kids so they are our children) but the rescues seem to know that they have gotten a second chance.

    Its fully up to you if you want a nice bred dog where you can see both their parents ( if on site) then you should do that but rescueing a dog in my opinion is way more gratifying then buying a dog who is going to get a home no matter what.

    Like i said i love my pure breds that i got from breeders just as much as i lovethe rescues but there are alot of dogs in need of homes because people dont spay and neuter their pets and they are really in need of good loving homes like im sure you are able to provide.

    Google it and see if there are any pom rescues in your area but if you do go through a breeder make sure its not just a backyard breeder bc they dont care about the wellfare of the pups ( usually they have tons of problems and can cost you alot of money and possibly heart nreak because of the sloppy breeding and diseases they can be passing on) only into making money. Make sure it is a reputable breeder.

    Good luck on finding your little one!

  6. For a breeder, go to www.breeders.net and type in your zipcode and the breed of dog and lots of breeders in your area will come up

    But it's also nice to save a poor pom's live and adopt one at your local animal shelter, or www.petfinder.com

    Please study about the breed before buying, here's a really good site about poms- www.petpom.com

    Poms are very sweet, entertaining little balls of fluff, but here are the pros and cons of having one as a pet~

    PROS

        * Is very small and "spitz-like", with pricked ears, foxy face, a thick coat, and curled tail

        * Is vivacious and spunky, bright and attentive

        * Is delightfully alive and aware of everything going on around him and keenly alert to approaching strangers

        * Is usually fine with other pets

    CONS

        * An extremely careful search to avoid all the nasty, neurotic Pomeranians

        * The fragility of toy breeds (see below)

        * Suspicious yappiness toward strangers when not socialized enough

        * Strong-willed mind of his own, requiring a confident owner who can take charge

        * Barking

        * Regular brushing and combing

        * Heavy shedding

        * Housebreaking difficulties

  7. You can try checking with your local animal shelters.  We were lucky enough to find our little Pom at the Humane Society.  It's definitely worth a try, and if you don't find one right away, check back or let them know at the shelter what you're looking for and leave your name and phone number.  I believe there is also a resource called Pet Finder, they put people in touch with shelters and the kind of pet they're looking for.
