I'd like thoughts on good places to volunteer while staying just outside of Paris for a year?

Specifically, I am going to be an au pair, so I will need something that is not full time. Also, I'm very interested in opportunities dealing with the environment and community development. Thanks.

Go to yahoo.fr or google.fr and enter "bénévolat", you'll find many sites for volunteering. You choose a location and a field in which you want to volunteer and you'll get a list of available positions.
