Is it possible to adopt a baby that isn't over the age of 1 for under $1,000.00 I will take classes if I have to and I do not care what the race of the baby is. Do you know of any foster homes, adoption agencies, etc. that will allow you to adopt if you are 18 and married? Thank you.

  1. Probably not.  The home study will be way more than that.

  2. call your local adoption agencies and Foster care places.  I do not know if they will have age requirements or not.  As for being under 1 and under $1000... i think you are being wishful there.  I know adopting from the Foster care system is usually the cheapest route to go, but I think court costs are going to be over $1000.  Plus I heard that children under the age of 1 is rare in the foster care system.  Don't quote me on the age thing as I am not sure on that... but that is just what I heard.

  3. I don't think that's possible.

  4. I think this will be very hard to do.  Adoption can be very expensive.  I have know people that it too 10 years to get a child

  5. You can find a someone on drugs that will have a baby for you for 1000.00. That's about the only way you will get a child for that amount. Try fostering a child first and see how you like it.

  6. It depends.  Usually through public agencies it is free, excluding lawyer costs, but many lawyers will do it cheaply since it is such a beautiful thing.  Other than that it is free/close to free unless you have to pay for the home visit from the social worker.  The fact you are eighteen would be more of a problem, because you would be more likely to be not approved because of maturity (Although you might be very mature, I dunno).

Also, through public agencies, the wait for a newborn can be YEARS.  Actually, it WILL be years, if you want a newborn without disabilities/delays.

  8. Probably not.  Your options are looking very thin.

First off, there's a huge long process of pre-screening to make sure you're a fit parent.  They will look at you financially, socially, and mentally.  There will be background checks, etc.

And worse for you, it's gonna cost more than a $1000.  So, you're out right now.  And you're only 18.  Maybe when you're older, but not right now.

  9. adopting a child for 1,000 is virtually impossible . you havve lawyers fees and other state fees that go along with the adoption process and those alone are well over a thousand dollars. We adopted and it cost us 25 to thirty thousand dollars when we were finished with the process and that was almost 3 yrs ago. I know that the costs have increased since then as well as the wait for a child.

  10. why do you want a kid the wreck your life after you have the little ***** your gunna wanna give the ******* back

  11. no.

there is no "blue light special" for babies.

"L" ...i have no comment for your response.

  12. Probably not...

Hun, it costs wayyyy more than 1,000 dollars for pre-natal care and birthing fees!! If everything goes as planned, you're still looking at 5,000 dollars or more.  I respect you for wanting to give a child a home, and that's great, but if you really are only 18, you don't need a child right now, married or not.  Trust me, I am married & have a son, and I went through all of this at 20, and it's a very difficult adjustment.  Wait until you are at least 21 to even start thinking about having a baby, and even that is a little young.

    ....in my opinion.

  13. Why haven't you thought of adapting and older child that can really benefit from your love and appreciation of them. An older child has gone through so much more than an infant that doesn't even know they even exist yet. I understand they may be cute but a young child can be too. Food for thought.

  14. Contact the County Foster Care agency in your area and apply to foster.  Many times children that are fostered become available for adoption when their parents do not meet the terms the court sets for regaining their children.  If the child is in your care, and no relatives come forward, you have quite a good chance to adopt in those circumstances.  As far as othe avenues--$1000 isn't going to even get your foot in the door.

  15. Try the black market or vacation in China and Guatemala and try to prey on a struggling mother and guilt her into it. It happens all the time.

  16. Well, you can try state agencies, but most of those kids are going to be children with disabilities or other problems.  I know in Texas you have to go thru a foster system and then get to adopt.  As for children that young, usually the situation is that they were taken away from the mother, but the mother has the option of getting them back at some point.  So even if the adoption is moving along, it is possible it would fall thru if the mother changed her mind.

As for adopting from private agencies, you are looking at fees ranging between $10,000 and $40,000.

I would suggest checking into fostering a child and see how you like that first.  The state will give you money to help take care of the child.
